I fully agree, I have employed 5 sales reps of which only one really turned out to be OK.
One of them actually went into business in opposition to me while he was working for me with my car etc.
People are different here.

You are going to battle. My suggestion would be to build a web site (I run a free online workshop) listing the companies that might normally have offered you an opening. And this in the forlorn hope of selling them a paid added value listing. The Garden Route is a tough call in the good times. But right now local businesses are closing one after the other.

Depends on when. Winter is a dead loss except for ten days over the Oyster Festival. Summer is marginally better with three weeks over the festive season. Work is hard to find and salaries are lousy.

Have you ever thought of turning to the net?
